Logitech M570 trackall

I have just started using one.

To be honest I was little afraid of switching from mouse after dozen of years to something new. I have never used trackball before.
The thing is that I started working in the recline position for the part of the day (will post about it later) and it turned out that mouse was simply not an option. It did not stay where I wanted to leave it because the desk was not in the horizontal position so I had to move it to the "parking place" every time.
Another thing was that moving arm up and down together with mouse and keep it in the up position made me feel pain after few days so I decided to try trackball.

I looked around for something interesting and Logitech M570 looked cool. I read few reviews and decided to give it a try because of few things:
  • It is profiled and shaped in the similar way my mouse is (Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse 6000).
  • It has a really small usb receiver and very good range.
  • Battery live is very long.
  • It stays in one place in the reclining position so I can put it in the place which is most comfortable for my hand.

I though it would take much time to switch from mouse to trackball but it took me about an hour to start feeling comfortable with cursor movement.
It took slightly longer to learn how to select text (LMB + cursor move) but after two days I'm comfortable with that as well.

Overall I'm extremely satisfied with my new trackball and feel with it as comfortable as with my mouse.

Afraid of switching from mouse to trackball? You should not.
